Slip, Trip, and Fall Inspection in Tree Care and Landscaping

1. Is there enough lighting in the jobsite for employees to see uneven surfaces?

2. Are any uneven or slippery surfaces marked so workers can see them?

3. Is the ground slippery from rain, snow or ice?

4. Is there damaged equipment (ex. ladders) on the worksite?

5. Is there a designated area for branches and brush?

6. Is there a designated area for tools when they are not in use?

7. Are employees wearing the right footwear for the environment they are working in?

8. Are employees watching where they are walking (no mobile device use)?

9. When necessary, are workers using fall protection?
