2. Has the operator been trained on how to use the lift?

1. Are all safety signs and instructions legible?

2. Is there any structural damage to the outside of the forklift?

3. Is the forklift free of leaks? (Look under the forklift for puddles)

4. Is the mast in good condition?

5. Are the forks in good condition and free of cracks, bends, or other structural damage?

6. Is the ROPS free of damage and in good condition? (Roll Over Protection Structure)

1. Are there any loose connections?

2. Is the battery in good condition and free of damage?

3. Do the belts and pulleys have proper tension?

4. Are all hoses in good condition and free of damage?

1. Is a seat belt present and in good condition?

2. Does the horn work?

3. Do the lights turn on?

4. Is a fire extinguisher present and up to date?

5. Are the mirrors in good condition and free of damage?

6. Does the back-up alarm work?

1. Does the steering work appropriately?

2. Do the forks have full range of motion?

3. Does the tilt have full range of motion?

4. Does the side shift have full range of motion?

5. Does the acceleration and brake pedals work correctly?
