First Aid, CPR, and AED Checklist

1. Is there a written First Aid program or other written guidance on responding to employee injuries at the facility?

2. Have employees been trained on First Aid/CPR/AED techniques suitable to the specific workplace hazards present?

3. Are employees offered First Aid/CPR/AED refresher courses on first aid skills and knowledge?

1. Are First Aid kits at company facilities or in vehicles placed in locations where they will be readily available when needed?

2. Are the contents of First Aid kits inspected at least annually to ensure that the items are usable and all required items are present in the kit?

3. Are AEDs at the facility installed and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements?

1. Are bloodborne pathogens precautions followed by those providing first aid?

2. Is bloodborne pathogen protective PPE and clean-up materials available at the facility?

1. Is an eye wash station and safety shower available where the eyes or body of any person may be exposed to corrosive materials?

2. Are all eye wash units and safety showers tested and inspected?
