Employee Hard Hat Inspection

1. Is there a policy for head protection?

2. Are employees trained on hard hats?

3. Is the employee wearing a hard hat?

4. Is there a restriction in place to prevent employees from wearing hoods, beanie hats, or baseball caps underneath their hard hat?

1. Is the outside of the hard hat visible for inspection? Is there an excess of decals or other modifiers, making it difficult for inspection?

2. Is the outside free from loss of color/pigment?

3. Is the outside free from cracks?

4. Is the outside free from a chalky appearance?

1. Is the inside free from cracks?

2. Is the inside suspension free of tears?

3. Is the inside suspension free of frays or other signs of wear?

4. Is there a date stamped inside the hard hat?

5. Is the date within five years?
