Electrical Cord Visual Inspection and Use

1. Are there any loose parts?

2. Are there any deformed or missing pins?

3. Is there any damage to the outer jacket or insulation? (Pinched or crushed outer jacket)

4. If there is a defect or damage, is the cord/item identified as such and removed from service?

5. Are the plug and receptacle properly mated?

6. If the work location has water where it is likely to be contacted, are the cords approved for wet locations?

7. Are employees' hands dry when plugging and unplugging cords and plugs?
