Daily Class I Forklift Inspection Checklist

1. *Before beginning, be sure the forklift is parked on a level surface, the parking brake is applied, the forks are lowered to the ground and the key switch is off.

2. No oil leaks

3. No tire deflation, damage, cracks or wear

4. No loose hub nuts

5. No dirt, damage or cracks in lamps

6. Hydraulic fluid is at the appropriate level

7. Brake fluid is at the appropriate level

8. No damage, bends, looseness or chain tension in forks or backrest

1. Material handling system works properly and there are no oil leaks

2. No dirt or damage on mirror

3. Brake pedal is effective

4. Parking brake operates properly

5. Gauges operate properly

6. Battery indicator lamp works properly

7. Steering wheel isn't loose

8. No abnormal sound from horn

9. OPS Indicator lighting functions correctly

1. On-forklift charger works properly

2. Off-forklift charger works properly
