Contact with Animals and Insects in Agriculture General Inspection

1. Is a first aid kit available on site?

2. Have species in the area been identified?

3. Have workers been briefed on the potential insect/animals they may encounter?

4. Are food and drinks stored in closed containers?

5. Is garbage and waste disposed of promptly and appropriately?

6. Is standing water either contained in a closed container or treated with an EPA approved product?

7. Is there adequate lighting in the work area as well as where materials are stored?

8. Are there lots of rocks, or other small crawl spaces?

9. Are there signs of nests in the trees and on ground (bird, caterpillars, etc.)?

10. Are gloves available for workers to wear to use when handling material?
