2. Has the operator been trained on how to use the lift?

1. Are all safety signs and instructions legible?

2. Are all rotation gear bolts properly tightened?

3. Are all tie-down bolts properly tightened?

4. Are all hydraulic hoses and hose connections in good condition, free of wear and leaks?

1. Is the bucket liner or platform free from cracks, dents, or other visible damage?

1. Are all cylinders in good condition?

2. Is the boom free from cracks, dents, or other visible damage?

3. Are the cylinder pins in good condition?

4. Is there any damage to the cylinder piston rods?

1. Can controls be operated both on the ground controls and in the bucket/platform?

1. Can you extend and retract the boom?

2. Can you lift and lower the boom?

3. Are there any hydraulic leaks when testing controls?

1. Is the terrain and surface area in stable condition

2. Is the area blocked off to prevent unauthorized personnel, livestock, or other mobile equipment use?

3. Are the workers and operators of the lift aware of any overhead wires that could create a hazard?

4. Are there any overhead obstructions? (powerlines, orchard trees, large structures/equipment)

5. Is there any equipment overhead that might cause a struck-by injury? (trees, windmills..etc.)
